If you just powered on your pc and windows gets stuck at the logo screen with infinite loading, no worries, we will just fix it up.
Method 1 uninstall graphic drivers or Update windows
Restart your pc and press (del) delete key to go to BIOS. if this does not work try pressing F2,F4,F8 or F10 depending on the model of your motherboard.
then now boot to safe mode in order to uninstall
1. Uninstall graphics card driver
2. anything suspicious
3. or even just update windows 10
To do this just interrupt the normal boot process 3 consecutive times. To do this while booting, long press the power button then press the power button to load it back on. On the fourth time, when windows enters the Automatic repair mode, just wait for it to load.
When it enters automatic repair, click on
Advanced options
then choose Troubleshoot
then Advanced options
then Startup settings
then click restart.
then click restart.
When it restarts, you will asked to choose what option by number you want. click (F4)
it should bring you to the safe mode. Right click on the start button and choose Device manager. Look for the display adapters , right click whatever graphics you have and choose uninstall device. check the box and uninstall your drivers. you will be asked to restart you pc, click ok and when back on and it works, download the latest graphic drivers.
in case this does not work, boot it back to safe mode and update your windows.
Method 2 removing newly added programs
more suitable if you installed new application, hard restart your computer 3 consecutive times, you computer should start repairing your computer and Diagnosing your computer.
use method 1 to enter safe mode, when it finally gets to safe mode, go to your search bar and type
add or remove programs , click on remove programs and locate the recent application the you installed: uninstall or repair it, if this works, you computer should boot back on well when you restart it.
Method 3 registry restore
you may repair your computer using the registry by backing it up and returning your computer to the last known registry settings.
to do this, go to automatic computer repairs and choose :
Advanced options
then choose Troubleshoot
then Advanced options,
then command prompt
Step 1. first , you need to locate where your windows files are located ,normally they are in drive C.
type in
C:
then click enter, then type
dir
and click enter
If you see the windows file, stop at this point and proceed to step 2,if you don't get your windows files, E.g. Program files, users, windows
try this , type in this:
D:
click enter and type
dir
and hit enter again. If you still do not get the drive having the windows file, try using letters E, the F.
by now you should already be now in the drive containing your windows file.
Step 2.
type in the following
cd \windows\system32\config
and hit enter
then type
MD backup
hit enter
now type the command
copy *.* backup
and hit enter
step 3.
after that type
cd regback
and hit enter
then type
dir
here you should have a list of items, with valid numbers next to the directories, however, if you have 0's just exit this fix and move on to method 4.
if you have the picture below or similar to it continue,
step 4.
type
copy *.* ..
hit enter
type
A
and hit enter
type exit and hit enter to complete the process. it should take you back and restart you computer
Method 4 start up repair
Get back to the blue advanced options window
click on START UP REPAIR
or as we have it AUTOMATIC REPAIR
select the user account that you want to fix and type in the password and hit continue
it should start diagnosing your pc.
after sometime it will attempt repairs. If this takes longer than 25 minutes, consider restarting your computer and trying another fix.
If all this does not work, do a system restoration using a bootable flash containing window 10 installation files.
Method 5 system restore and system image recovery
At this point you will need a windows installation media,
to create one check out this video.
connect the installation media to your pc.
the windows files will load up and an initial set up window will appear
click on next and then click on repair your computer
part 1. system restore
select Troubleshoot
use the following incase your computer set them up
1. system restore
2. system image recovery tool
part 2. bootrec installation tool
if none of this was found use
the bootrec installation tool
the when the command prompt is opened
type in
Bootrec /fixmbr
hit enter
now type
bcdedit /export c:\bcdcopy
hit enter
type
attrib c:\boot\bcd -h -r -s
hit enter, then type
ren c:\boot\bcd bcd.copy
hit enter
type
bootrec /rebuildbcd
hit enter, it shows the windows installation. it will ask you to whether you want the installation to join the boot list, type Y.
type exit and restart your windows Method 6 Bootrec installation media
If all this fails, get back to the Command prompt and type in
the drive letter of the drive containing your program files and windows file.
to confirm this just type
notepad.
and hit enter
a notepad should appear and
click on file
then open file
click on my pc
then confirm your target drive by opening the drives to check where the program files are located.
for my case my program files are in drive c
type in the drive containing your windows files, (for my case it is local disk C:)
c:
hit enter
type
dir
and hit enter, you should see the program files and other directories listed
type
chkdsk c: /f
hit enter. if you get a message such as the one shown below type
Y
and hit enter.
Once the whole process is done, we can type:
bootrec /fixmbr
hit enter, you will see the operation was completed successfully, then type
bootrec /fixboot
hit enter, you may see, access is denied, so go to next part and type
bootrec /rebuildbcd
hit enter, type
bcdboot c:\windows /s c:
and hit enter. you will see , boot files successfully created.
from there type and exit and enter.
hopefully after restarting your computer you will have passed where you were stuck.
