Is HELB subsequent application open 2022/2023? YES it is





 Higher Education Loans Board HELB application for 22/23 is now open. HELB is offering the following services: 

1. First time Undergraduate application 22/23

2. Undergraduate Subsequent application 22/23

HOW DOES ONE APPLY FOR THE FIRST TIME?

1. Visit the HELB website at www.helb.co.ke to access the student portal and click on "create an account" in order to register.
2. once the account is created, login and fill in the correct details on what education level you are applying for, example will be (degree) for undergraduates.  select whether you are employed or not and search.
3. Select the appropriate undergraduate first time application form 
follow as instructed.

HOW DOES ONE APPLY FOR THE SUBSEQUENT LOAN?
 

Use the following platforms to apply for the subsequent loan.

1. USSD *642#

You will be directed to the self serve option. The service charges only 1 shilling in order to confirm the identity of the loanee. 

2. USSD *334#

This is the same USSD to MPesa self-serve.  Follow the following steps:

    a. Dial *334# in your phone

    b.Select option 6. Lipa na MPESA and enter

    c. Select option 6. Government services and enter

    d. Select option 2 HELB and enter

    e. select option 1. to login 

     f. enter your four digit pin.

    g. select option 1. loan application and continue as directed. 

3. HELB mobile app
